A Spring Tradition

I know a little pussy
Whose fur is soft and gray
She lives down in the meadow
Not very far away
She will always be a pussy
SHE WILL NEVER BE A CAT
Cause she's a pussy willow
Now what do you think of that

Sang March 21st in front of the pussy willow.

You can sing it too just for fun.

Since last week, I have finished 18 flats of seeds that I am starting for the gardens. Tomatoes, peppers, and a number of flowers. Michael and I went to Worms Way to buy some new lights for the fixtures in the basement. Although, it appeared that the fixtures were worn out. Several of the lights wouldn't light. So, I went and bought new fixtures. After I wired them up, everything seems to be going OK. The very next day that I set everything up, some of the flowers were sprouting. Today (3-16-09), most of the varieties have some of the seeds coming up.
I plan on redoing 'my' flower bed this spring. The whole works. Replacing the timbers around the bed, adding more soil and mixing it up. I will remove a couple of the plants and move them to the bed on the side of the drive way.

Later on this week , I am going to pick up the rest of the leaves in the yard and prepare to put down the crab grass killer. Spring is here!!

Mom and I decided that there is money for her to go to her 40th high school class reunion. Its at a bad time - mid April. So, she will be flying off to Columbia for the week end.

Everybody enjoy.
